Well the mechanic informed me my head gasket had blown after he replaced my radiator hose.I drove the truck home and parked it after seeing oil in the radiator.I had nursed it long as it would go.Heck of it is,it was a new Jasper engine with only 100,000 miles on it.The original Toy engine threw a rod at 101,000 miles. It sat in the driveway for 2-3 years that time. Finally we paid a friend to put the Jasper in it but it never ran righ and always leaked oil.So now it's sat in the yard for over a year and I'm wonderin if the friend actually did put a new Jasper engine in it.Someday I will find out.

It wouldn't have been so bad except that we were moving in a few weeks and now had to rent a truck to move.So $1000 later,we were moved.By myself I moved 7 storage bins full of furniture, junque(my wife sez antiques),and four thousand pounds of her old clothes into three storage sheds in the new backyard, and 70 foot mobile home we had just rented. We might have backed out except we had already forked over $1600 SD and rent for a 2 year lease. They might have sued us too.

But I've always heard that when God closes one door,He opens another. He was apparrently getting ready to open some strange doors for me!

So after the big move,we paid another 300 to move our RV,decks, sheds, storage bldgs to the new place from the RV park we had just moved from.We had lived in it for 6-7 yrs(memory fading) on a lot on the ICWW.We had hoped to live there for the rest of our lives, but the owners announced they were going to sell our section(cash flow problems),so we felt forced to move.We hunted for 3 months before we just happened on this place, which we felt was ideal. The rent was high but it accomodated all her junk(antiques),and she was happier,so once again I had peace in my life-for a few weeks!

On or about Dec 21,last year,I had my quarterly checkup. My doc was at the dentist,so I gave some blood and went back to work rather than wait on him.Got a letter two weeks later telling me to get a Cat Scan.Told them I didn't have a cat,but they didn't think that was very funny.Do you?Anyhow had one in Jan or Feb(memory loss,ya know_they say it's one of the first things to go,but I lost a lot of other stuff way before that-good vision,teeth,#10 looksLOL,other things I'll tell ya about later.)

Anyway,in Feb went back and saw my doc again and he showed me a pic of my liver with a gigantic mass on the right(his left)lobe. He said surgery was the best solution if I didn't want to do chemo.I asked what if I did nothing. He said six months mebbe.June,my nurse, told me I had lots of good years left. What they didn't tell me was that the next one would be my "walk thru the valley of the shadow of death."
